Monday afternoon Grandma and Grandpa Flom came up to celebrate christmas with us. We had a nice dinner monday evening. We had lutefisk, hawaiian meatballs, mashed potatoes, little balls of joy (aka brussel sprouts), candied carrots, rolls, salad and yummy chocolate cake for dessert. Lola, from John's work told me about a way they eat their lutefisk, and we tried it, and it was Fantastic! I had second's on lutefisk! What you do is dice up some bacon, and fry it up, and then put the bacon pieces and grease on your lutefisk. As Lola put it, and I'd have to agree with her now, it's Artery Clogging Good.
Holden had a little bite of lutefisk, said he liked it, and then took another bite, and his face was to die for funny! Then he said "it just giggles around in my mouth and then I swallow it" Makes it sound very tasty, huh! Leslie told grandpa maybe later he'd try some, then when we were doing dishes, he said he'd have some tomorrow! hehe
After we ate dinner, and did the dishes. Grandma read the christmas story, improvised some. And Holden used the little people nativity set and acted it out. It was cute. And then we opened up some gifts, the boys had fun giving Grandma and Grandpa the gifts they got for them. Holden won a walmart gift card last sunday from a drawing, so he went to walmart and got a gift for Leslie, Grandma and Grandpa, he was so proud of that. I was very proud of him for wanting to go get gifts for other's with the money that he won. And he made grandma flom a jewlery box, and painted it b/c he said she had so much jewlery. The boys were so excited when they opened some presents from grandma and grandpa, more Green and Yellow tractors and more things to pull and play with. They had fun playing farm, they've got quite the Implement upstiars now.
Last night, they opened a present from us, and it was a tent, sleeping bag, flashlight, chair, and compass. They were having so much fun playing with them. They each have one of all of those things. So we turned the living room into a Tent Room. They slept all night in their tents. And this morning got up, and started playing in them again, and Holden said to Leslie, "Leslie don't you just love all these things we got, it's so much fun, isn't it".

I always enjoy being with family, I guess I'm a family girl, it's how I was raised. Your family will always be there for you! :)
